Clean, balanced audio for live events and digital media

I’m an adaptable, reliable sound engineer based in the Bristol area, bringing over 25 years of hands-on experience behind mixing consoles. From music venues, festivals, and conferences to outdoor events and digital audio projects, I deliver clear sound that lets performers and speakers perform at their best.

  • Trained audio engineer: Masters degree in Music Technology from the University of York, with formal training in room acoustics, studio recording, mixing, and mastering and four years as a sound technician for the York University Students’ Union events tech team
  • Audio systems experience: Comfortable with analogue gear and digital systems, regularly operating HK Audio systems with Soundcraft UI digital mixers, among others
  • Events and production support: 20 years of organising live gigs, including hosting a popular monthly open mic night

“Jon has been doing our sound regularly for a few years now. He’s reliable, unflappable and knowledgeable. A real asset to the band. Our fifth member.”
