OK, I wasn’t going to get involved with this, but after catching up with all the malarkey (!) at lunchtime, I couldn’t resist.
A quick Google Image Search for “Durstan” picked up some interesting images, and having been kept updated with SxSW 2005 via Flickr, I couldn’t resist using this photo by Richard Rutter.
Credit where credit’s due
- Original “Where’s Durstan?” concept by Andy Clarke, based on the “Where’s Wally” character by Martin Handford.
- Original painting (“The Dressing Room”) by Arthur Durstan (or Arthur Durston?).
- Arse by Durstan Orchard himself.
- Arse photo courtesy of Richard Rutter.
- Drunken (although he denies it) signings by Stan (a.k.a. Jason Santa Maria).
Update
Jo decided to get in on it as well with this one:

Though your concealment of his head was much more artistic.
Alas, Jo’s site has restricted access to us commoners (if you mean she also created such a picture) thus I cannot see.
Robert, her “Where’s Durston” is the second one on here. Jo likes to keep access to parts of her site for her friends to comment on her writing, etc.
I’ve edited the above to make slightly to make more sense.
Hi
I’ve now put my image up in my (public) News Section, too, although since it’s already on this page, I s’pose there’s no point announcing that here…
While the concealment of the face in Jon’s image may be more artistic, I’d rather view the face than the part of the body he has instead chosen to reveal…
I didn’t even realize I was drunk! 😀
LOL! Obviously, I wasn’t there, so I can’t back up such an accusation. But c’mon, signing Durstan’s posterior?!
Although, there does seem to be something about SxSW and arses.
